Is Telepsychiatry Right for You?
My practice is intended for individuals whose psychiatric needs can be safely managed through outpatient telehealth. Patients experiencing active suicidal ideation, active psychosis, mania, treatment-resistant depression, severe or unstable psychiatric symptoms, psychiatric hospitalization within the past two years, or conditions requiring intensive monitoring or a higher level of care are generally not appropriate for this practice and may be better served by an in-person psychiatrist or specialized treatment program. Suitability is determined through an individualized clinical evaluation.
Controlled Medication Policy
I may prescribe controlled medications when clinically appropriate and legally permitted; however, my practice generally manages no more than one controlled medication at a time. If another provider currently prescribes you a controlled medication, I generally will not prescribe an additional one. Transfers of existing medication management are considered individually, and prescriptions are not guaranteed.
Appointments & Insurance
General psychiatric appointments may be scheduled through Headway using participating commercial health insurance plans or by paying out of pocket (self-pay). Patients can verify their insurance coverage and eligibility, review available self-pay options, and schedule appointments directly through the Headway website.
